PODCAST INTERVIEW “A ARTE DE ERRAR”

Miguel Caldeira (Chief Communications Officer, Portuguese Government) – #13 – From TVI to the UN

Miguel Caldeira was the 13th guest on The Art of Failing, but the lucky ones were all of us.

Miguel shared his journey, which in Portugal began at TVI, continued at Agência Lusa, and later moved to SIC. He experienced some of the golden years of television journalism, worked alongside highly renowned professionals, and left his mark.

Meanwhile, what was supposed to be a brief three-month experience in Timor-Leste with the United Nations turned into four intense years. There was no turning back—Miguel had caught the travel bug. After Timor-Leste, he headed to New York to work at the heart of the “government of governments”—the United Nations headquarters. There, he worked with people from different backgrounds and nationalities, witnessed profound changes in America, got married, and had children.

Miguel is an optimist by nature and believes that anyone can improve someone else’s life every day—even if only through a smile or a timely word. On that day, Miguel improved ours.

And when you listen to the full podcast, we believe the same will happen to you.
